Synopsis
French Follow the stories of a group of Londoners during the bombing of the British capital during World War II. Saoirse Ronan and Harris Dickinson previously starred together in See How They Run (2022). Pretty stiff and slow story…inserting an identity that doesn’t fit the era of the movie is confusing…like adding ketchup to cotton candy…the old fashion was portrayed well but lacked authenticity and dragged…a lot of people left the theater early …not one of the best movies, in fact I’d say it was a waste of a very good subject…reminded me of Oppenheimer in some ways. very overrated by the trade as it was selective in its reporting of the man, although like Blitz it captured the costumes and customs of the time… Blitz is in no way comparable to Dunkirk… I thought it was. trope and tripe.
